Macromolecular Science and Engineering vs. Chemical Engineering?

As far as I know, MSE is just a sub-discipline of ChE. What courses separate it from ChE? I would question whether there are more jobs or more diversity of opportunity in MSE than ChE. my guess is not. I'm surprised there are separate departments. Be aware that often psychology departments and profs will tell gullible undergrads that there are lots of jobs for psychologists.
