Just had jaw surgery... about the swelling?

I only recently got my wisdom teeth and one of them grew slightly funny and after reading this im not going to get it removed. It's awkward but i can put up with it. Is the swelling normal? if not see someone but you could see someone anyway because i think they have creams to reduce swelling.
