Can you freeze tinned tomatoes ?

I bought some rather lovely tinned peeled plum tomatoes but sadly they all got dropped coming back from the supermarket so are now all rather dinted. So, could i empty them into plastic pots and freeze them okay as it seems a shame to waste them and i won't be able to get through them all quickly?
