Why is hemp not legal?

Isn't it only because hemp is just another kind of cannabis plant, an impotent marijuana? Yes all the facts you stated about it's many uses are true but until the govt can legalize maryjane they won't do the same for hemp. Also, wasn't hemp outlawed because it was too profitable and the govt couldn't tax it? I think that's why. Write your congressman.
