Human plasma can combine with other chemical to be used as indicator for blood clotting or not?

I'm a student..n i have a science project..i want to ask either human plasma can combine with other chemical to be used as indicator for blood clotting or not?i want to used the plasma as a medium..n want to develop a strip test..to detect either the plasma has been used (clotted) by the coltting factor or not..
