Is swelling, break outs, acne a normal reaction after a 50% glycolic peel?

I did 30% glycolic peel at home 3 times and it gave me pimples I never had acne problems before, I didn't see any improvement on my skin and no peeling at all. I decided to try 50% also at home, I did 3 layes and left each layer for about 10 minutes, total of 30 minutes the whole treatment, 24 hours later my skin is full of bumps, break outs, swollen, bad acne specially on my chin, nose and forehead. Did I leave the product to long on my face? What should I do to get better? Is this a normal reation or allergy? Will my skin look good again? Please HELP!!!!!
